Arts Integration is an approach to teaching in which students construct and demonstrate understanding through an art form.

Students engage in a creative process which connects an art form and another subject area to meet evolving objectives in both.

National Bullying Prevention Month - October Has Been a Time to Raise Awareness

Our counselors and restorative specialist have been meeting with grade level groups to raise awareness for bullying prevention month at our school site.

What does this look like?

For our Tk-3rd Grade classes, Counselor Elizabeth Saunders has brought in the Kimochis. Kimochis are an elementary social emotional learning curriculum to give children the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to recognize and manage their emotions, demonstrate caring and concern for others, establish positive relationships, make responsible decisions, and handle challenging situations constructively. The Kimochis incorporates innovative and fun activities developed to teach children how to manage challenging social situations with skill, character and confidence.
