National Board Certified Teacher Melanie Rick
Professional development teacher training kicks off under the guidance of national expert Melanie Rick. Ms. Rick is known for aligning arts integration and instructional practices with current research in the fields of arts and education. She works with schools across the country to help teachers develop their students’ visual literacy and critical thinking through arts integration.
Youth in Arts Guest Artists
In partnership with the School for the Arts Community Organization (SACO), SRCSA is pleased to host guest artists from Youth in Arts (YIA). Each classroom will benefit from eight sessions with YIA’s professional artists in a variety of areas. There will be a family information night regarding this program with performances associated with the conclusion of each residency.
